My children are glued to this toy for hours on end. With this toy around I have no need to buy a real hamster. I was scared of what would happen to real pet if my children do not play with it often. Queuing up in the early morning at WalMart's to get my own Zhu Zhu Pets was well worth the effort. I am thankful that they are now available at stores because I have been looking for them in every nook and cranny of the city. Anyhow, my children have not left them for even a second since I brought them. Hair got caught in the wheels resulting in them stopping. I meticulously tried to remove them without causing much damage. But the wheels would not turn afterwards either. I found later that it was just the batteries which had gone cold. They came with theoretically 2 new AAA batteries from the manufacturer and I am sure that the toys were not long enough in the store for the battery to have been used up by children trying them out. So, the batteries were evidently defective. When I put in new Duracell's the Zhu Zhu Pets just sprang up to life as never before.The children are still with them as we speak. OK, I have to say that I indulge my kids a lot! Ever since they have come across the Zhu Zhu Pets on TV, they have been behind me to get them. I just had to yield. We went all over the city to find them-more than 10 stores we visited. Most stores are not even bringing them yet. The Toy R Us stores even had the cheek to tell us that they could not keep them on the shelves.After six hours of drifting across the city, we finally got our hands on a solitary ADVENTURE BALL but we could not even catch a glimpse of a Zhu Zhu Pet yet. We got the chance of trying out the Aventure Ball with our neihbor's Zhu Zhu Pet. It was humongous-ly funny, behaving just like a lil hamster.
I regret running around town looking for toys now. I have been doing this forever, with every toy that my children demand (Bakugan , Star Wars, Littlest Pet Shop, Barbie and now Zhu Zhu Pets). It is simpler just to go on Amazon.com and have them delivered to the home directly. It may cost a little more but it is so much easier. Well, next time maybe%u2026
