Best Ways to Use a Ziploc Bag 

1. Believe it or not, I use a Ziploc bag to marinate meat. I take a gallon size bag, put my chicken breasts or thighs in with my marinade (usually soy-sauce based), swish it around a bit, and stick the bag in the fridge. Awesome! All the marinade is evenly distributed in the bag and I always have perfected seasoned meat.
2. When I travel, I always pack my cosmetics and toiletries in a quart size Ziploc bag. This is a requirement by the FAA on all carry-ons anyway!
3. I store my coffee beans in a quart size bag and label them by flavor.
4. Great way to store and freeze herbs!
5. I use the sandwich size bag for an ice pack when I need it.
6. When I had minor surgery on my shoulder, I had to keep my wound dry at all times. So before I took a shower, I cut up a quart size bag and taped it over my wound. Worked great, and kept the bandage dry!
7. The sandwich size Ziploc makes a nice little cosmetic bag.
8. When I move modular shelving, I always put screws in a snack size bag and tape the bag to the shelf so they stay together at all times! Beats the heck out of hunting for screws, nuts and bolts in a desk drawer!
9. When I travel, I pack a pair of shoes in a gallon size bag. Of course, I wear size 7 shoes so they fit just fine!
10. Oh, did I mention that I marinate meat in a gallon size freezer bag?
