To me style is just the outside of content, and content the inside of style, like the outside and the inside of the human body. Both go together, they can't be separated.

A Photo a Day

Blue Bricks: Bourne, England

With the weather getting nicer, I have been tempted to use my new camera, instead of forcing myself to edit my Europe pictures. So from this day forth, I will post at least one photo a day!

Traveling

Motion...Movement....Transition

Over the last couple of months, I have been traveling from place to place. From the hospital, to my parents home, then to my family's home in Burnley, then my sister's in Bourne, then London, then Paris, then back to London. I finally came home to Canada, I started working in Toronto on a film. This photo to me, represents the last couple of months. It was taken from the train while traveling to London.

That thing called Global Warming

Since the massive amounts of snow are starting to melt and I am trying to decide, based on the predictions of the summer, wither I should just throw out that window AC, I a discussion of environmental politics is necessary. I have lived the last years without the comfort of AC and I am pretty much against the use of AC's in the home. However, with the projected intensity of next summer, what sort of choice to we have? I am going to give it a good fight and stick to my fans, but how many of them do you use before you are using just as much electricity as an AC because I have a large number of electric fans. Does that make me better? I don't know.

The picture featured was taken in London England. I think the image speaks for itself

Paris Sexy...

once you remove the half an inch of grime

Despite the excellent weather, I am feeling tired today. I scanned my photos to find which one best matched my mood and this picture just seemed to work.

It is a recent picture of the Moulin Rouge that I photo manipulated. The moodiness of the image, speaks to me on a lazy Sunday. It's not too intense, or thematic, its just sexy and nostalgic.

Art...or Just a Tree

Lost in Wonderland...

Over the last 6 months I have felt lost in Wonderland. I just posted a set of these photos on my site.

Taken in Soho London:

Into Wonderland...

Paris, Paris

I recently traveled to Paris and I have to admit that it was not all that I expected. I found the weather miserable and the tourist areas disappointing. I had more fun exploring the subways and side streets. I guess everyone has their own opinions, but Paris did not turn out to be as wonderful as I imagined.

This Picture was taken when I first arrived and went down to the subways.I love the lines and suggestion.

Paris: Don't Look into the Light

All you Need is Alpha...

my thoughts on John Lennon Airport

Before flying to Paris, we were in John Lennon Airport in Liverpool and I have to say, looking at the photos now, its so tacky. At the time, I become obsessed with snapping photos of the photos of lyrics and photos next to the bright shinny lights of consumerism and airport security. I did however spend a long time looking at the photo/autograph wall and snapped some useless pictures of Dylan, Bowie and the Stones. Thus, even I could not resist it all. If anything, it provided some interesting photos.

Taking it to the Street

support Part Timers!

Going to keep this short today because I have to get going to support the part timers strike! Being in Paris and England made me want to get more involved and fight for not only my own rights, but those of others. Thus, I feel Canadians in general do not know how to fight their own battles and Gen Y really needs to learn to stop analyzing everything and just take it to the streets or the governments. We can cause change! Students can unit and fight back!

Shattered

Perfect

I stumbled across this scene in Montemarte in Paris. I think this is a perfect photo.

Going Home

Going home this weekend made me try to see some beauty in a town that I disregard. I have to admit, I did find it hard to take photos. I am more of an urban photographer and I had to sit back and let nature unfold. However, true to my own photographic interest. I did manage to find some "urban decay" in the small town.

Birds in Flight

Parisian Art

The interesting thing about Paris is all the different ways in which people express themselves. As I moved through the streets and the subways, I noticed similar "tags" throughout the city. To me, the smashed windows, ripped advertisements and painted walls are the the real art of Paris

Help! Trouble with Portraits

I don't know why, but I am really struggling capturing people with my camera. I just can't seem to get it right. I look at my photos in comparison with others and I know that I am lacking. I am almost finished editing all my Europe photos and I think my next challenge is going to be to try and capture as many people as possible! So any tips would be much appreciated.

Things I Miss about Paris

I miss the Metro! I adore the Paris Metro. It beats the Underground, and Toronto's subway by far. The shopping is great. I had some of the best food there and for so cheap! The wine was spectacular and as I has posted, the best "art"!

Why YOU Should Go to Kensington Market

I first realized I wanted to be a photographer when the first time I went to Kensington Market in Toronto. The colour, atmosphere and food just sparks the inner artist. Furthermore, there are many interesting activist groups, which always give me new ideas to consider. Next time you are feeling in a artistic flunk, I suggest you make a visit!

Rainy Rainy Day

Is anyone else tired of this weather? I think that everyone is getting depressed because of the cold. This is global warming. I shutter to think how warm it is going to get this summer.

Parisian Class Contrasts

One of the things that I found interesting about Paris, is the great class divide. In the same cities you get rich palaces and cathedrals and run down slums surrounding them. This surely is a result of Paris' history, but it was still shocking to see it in person

Paris Slums

Winter Gardens at Versailles

The most interesting thing about the Palace of Versailles was the winter garden. Although I know it is supposed breathtaking in the summer, the closed gardens made for much more interesting and original pictures because it is not so cliche.

I would advise any photographer to go there during closed season for more effective photos of such an overdone location.

Offseason Photos

Since getting a new camera and taking photography courses, I have started to travel around Ontario, going to the various tourist areas. I feel really lucky because I live in an area that allows me to drive an hour and go to a completely different type of setting. Port Dover was a lot of fun because it was just starting to open after the off season, so I got some interesting pictures. I have put a few up on my website and will we adding more over the week end.

Lonely Litter

Downtown Kitchener

A secret inspiration

I suggest any photographer in the K-W go out and explore the back streets. It has such a range different environments.

Industry for Sale

Traveling up to Port Dover in Ontario, was a very eye opening experience. There was so many abandoned stables of industry, some of which we now just take from other countries.

Computer's Down!
